About the walk

Scafell Pike the highest peak in England and by far the most popular route.

Scafell Pike is also popular as training for the 3 peaks challenge and romantic proposals!

By far my most popular route we will take in the highest peak in England along with some of the most spectacular scenery in the Lake District.

From Seathwaite we head south and cross gains gill at Stockley bridge we then ascend above Taylorgill Force to Styhead Tarn and Styhead Pass where we will meet the beginning of the Corridor Route which we will follow to Lingmell Col, here we have the option to take in the additional summit of Lingmell a great viewpoint over Great gable and the Wast Water

From Lingmell Col we will climb the short path onto the summit of Scafell Pike We now descend following the corridor route back to Styhead Tarn and return via the West side of Styhead gill to get the full view of Taylorgill force waterfall and then follow the path for the return to Seathwaite
