About the walk

From Coniston village we follow the Walna Scar road then on past Boo tarn for a further kilometre where we take the path through the cove up to Goats Water, here we go up the steep side under the steep rock faces of Dow Crag taking the South Gully and on to the summit of Dow Crag.

From here head down through Goats Hawse and follow the route to Coniston Old Man, with great views of Coniston Water
then we will head over to Brim Fell over looking Levers Water continuing further to Swirl How overlooking Tiberthwaite and Little Langdale valley.

We then take the Prison Band down from Swirl How and follow the trail to Levers Water and path back to Coniston Village
